The Role
Brilliantly organised and structured placement. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Each and every colleague trusted me with the work I was given. Extremely friendly and warm atmosphere.
Tasks were explained very well by supervising trainee. If anything was unclear, he willingly and fully explained the issue.
Given just the right amount of work - not too much to allow me to socialise and talk to other people in the department yet not too little to the extent where I would twiddle my thumbs.
Naturally I wasn't running the show because I am very junior in the firm but from all the work I was given, I was solely responsible for its accuracy and content.
I gained two sets of skills: one specific to commercial law and the other a set of transferable skills which will prove valuable in every day life, regardless of career or profession.
The Company
The perfect balance. The team was very driven and motivated and enthusiastic about the work yet at the same time everyone took the time out to crack a joke here and there and relax the tense atmosphere durnig periods of high work loads.
Graduate Recruitment organised the scheme perfectly. Every intern was kept aware of his or her duties throughout the day and the timetable for the week proved to be extremely useful indeed.
In terms of legal work, certainly a lot of time and money was spent in investing in my training. Naturally of course, a lessor amount was spent on social events due to the current economic climate.
Company Parties/Events
Awaiting the decision.
The Culture
Every student worked together and got on well with one another.
A little bit more towards the expensive side though this was expected as the placement was in London
Very enjoyable - though not too much time to experience it all due to high work loads.
One social event per week was organised by the trainees - very enjoyable.
