Overview
Overseeing the recruitment of candidates to fill vacant positions and shifts within their service. This included finding, calling, interviewing and coordinating extensive compliance processes for up to 50 candidates at a time.
Skills
I developed many existing skills, such as my time management and resilience
Responsibilities
Varying levels of responsibility over the course of my internship, as once I had proven my skills, I was able to take charge of the recruitment for several of our existing and new clients with success.
Support & Guidance
Extensive support in the form of training and mentorship within my team, whilst still being in a sink-or-swim setting.
Culture
A busy, activity driven sales culture, working as a meritocracy that lead to good results. Could be slightly corporate, but my team ensured a good human element to my work.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement immensely, it was a very rewarding professional experience. However there were some top down changes to my team towards the end of my internship that were not particularly enjoyable, meaning the end was not fantastic.
Yes
Ensure you are driven and money oriented, with a high work ethic and a thick skin for when things go wrong. The highs are high and the lows can be very low.
