The Role
My time at the Graduate Recruitment Bureau greatly helped me to develop my interest in Digital Marketing further and provided a fantastic insight into the recruitment industry. I found that along with the requirements of my role and new skills I learned there, I gained a vast wealth of knowledge on graduate recruitment and I feel I know how to market myself better for future employment opportunities.
My contribution did not go unnoticed and I felt like I was being valued for the work I was putting into my role.
I was given a fantastic level of support and never felt like I couldn't approach my managers or the Marketing Director with a query or suggestion.
My role was demanding enough for the hours I worked.
My role was very much subordinate, but I was in charge of the approach and strategies I wanted to take when contacting websites and blogger outreach and was given freedom to explore new tactics; I never felt I was being undervalued.
The experience and knowledge I have gained has enabled me to gain a graduate role in a digital marketing agency and aided me throughout my Digital Marketing module as part of my studies at university; I would not have achieved as well as I have if it wasn't for my time at the Graduate Recruitment Bureau.
The Company
The atmosphere was very positive and encouragement and recognition of achievements were shared frequently.
I never had any problems throughout any of the process both starting at the Graduate Recruitment Bureau, training and development and leaving the company. It was very well organised.
Considering it was only a part-time role, a lot was invested in myself by the company.
Since I am now staying in Brighton now my studies are finished, I feel I could be accepted back into the company, if I should approach them again.
The Culture
Everyone was friendly and welcoming and there were hardly any barriers between departments; I never got a negative impression amongst employees.
Brighton is a relatively affluent area, particularly where I worked.
There were social events outside of work that were held, with an invitation for the whole company to attend.
