Overview
Triaging alerts that come in, investigating and responding to alerts. Tuning of alerts based on severity and frequency. Working as part of CSIRT team to analyse and give in depth analysis of security posture.
Skills
Development of cyber security related experience - including using elastic and kibana. Understanding linux and how to tune alerts using various field criteria.
Responsibilities
Treated like an actual employee, with paced support leading to greater responsibilities.
Support & Guidance
Huge amount of support and time for any help or queries. Guidance always on hand from friendly articulate colleagues.

Your Impressions
So far its been absolutely stellar with myself being challenged by the work - with plenty of support. Social opportunities are also plentiful making it a great mix of work and socialising.
Yes
Prepare for the assessment centre with some typical situations where you have showed skills. Relax but give it your all - keep in mind that G - Research hires people based on their personal qualities as well as skillset.
