    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The Strategic Asset Management team at JLL manage a number of portfolios, with assets all across the UK. My role included helping the Asset Managers with legal paperwork, formulating excel spreadsheets, cross referencing, preparing for pitches, and general work that they needed an extra pair of hands working on, much of which had a ESG focus. As interns we were also tasked with preparing a presentation in groups to present to employees within JLL which was both exciting and challenging.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have both developed existing and learnt a number of new skills as a result of internship at JLL. My personable and communicative skills have increased dramatically after the environment I was exposed to, it was both fast paced, and people focused, driving me to use these skills daily. Due to the exposure of the Real Estate industry I gained, I have also learnt a huge amount about the sector. More than I ever imagined, the insight which I have gained is invaluable and has excelled my eagerness to pursue a career in this field.
