Overview
Overall, I have developed an overview of the actual daily work of an auditor, this involves working with the disclosure workbook, agreeing with TB codes, reviewing meeting minutes etc. Sometimes, the work will be carried out at the client’s side.
Skills
One of the large part of auditing is to deal with numbers and figures-there are lots of consolidation files with details from current year and prior years-so the ability to filter those numbers is very important. I have certainly developed my excel skills, frequently asking experienced people on how to filter the data more efficiently.
Business Insight
Pretty informative. I have attended a department meeting where the department leads introduced the firm, the divisions, and everything about the company. In terms of roles, the KPMG website did a good job on revealing the available opportunities, which is very detailed.
Culture
Friendly, cares about people, and inclusive
