Overview
General office admin, such as building agendas and helping the team with organisation. Most excitingly, working on campaigns and their asset development. They allowed me to lead on elements of content campaigns, and work with agencies to create an array of adverts. Planning internal events to celebrate title releases. Networking with your colleagues and managing stakeholders to ensure our team can gather work from different teams.
Skills
Developing my professionalism. Interpersonal skills. Confidence. Creative strategic decision making. Presenting to large audiences. Leading and directing asset development. Time management. Communication skills; especially with adapting to different stakeholders and seniority levels.
Responsibilities
My team put a lot of trust in me and gave me a lot of guidance to be confident in the work I produced. There was a lot of responsibility in this role, as you are doing work for the team as well as sharing work across EMEA. You collaborate with a lot of people and help on several projects with high stakes.
Support & Guidance
The team are extremely supportive and enable you to grow on your placement. They fuel your confidence to ensure you can work in a fast paced environment, as well as lead with strength on work you do for the team.
Culture
As you’d imagine with culture at Disney, a lot of it is upbeat and friendly. A lot of events and exciting perks to enjoy and you can make many friends with the rest of the interns in your cohort. You also get to be valued by the team and learn from industry pros.
Your Impressions
It was an amazing year filled with wow factor and opportunity. There was exposure to things that were very interesting and key to the industry. You learn so much about marketing in a hands on way.
