Overview
During my placement year, I worked on the University’s Assistant App, also called UA. My main role was of a technician for this university application, where I had the duties of developing the App. My app development role consisted of adding new content, which was relevant to students, very often. This task was very important, as students had up-to-dated information about events and services they needed. The content I oversaw included updating/adding varied from Articles, notifications, YouTube videos and events. The daily task was to reply to all the chats we received, trough the live chat feature. Once the chats were answered, I had the responsibility to log them with some important information, such as the date, their course, year of study, main and sub theme, and gender. I also had the opportunity to promote the University Assistant App on different events that were held at the university. These events helped increasing engagement amongst students and encouraged them to download and use the app.
