The Role
I had a great year, the work was challenging and involving and the people were great.
I have made some great friends during my time here and spend a lot of time outside of work with colleagues.
I was supported at every point, whenever I needed help there was always someone to ask who was happy to help.
Most days were a great balance, occasionally dependancies on other areas meant work slowed but in general it was fine.
I have been given whole chunks of work to deliver into the project and allowed to use my initiative as to how to complete these.
It has given me great experience in this field and given me great skills for returning to my studies. It has let me see what the electronic engineering field is like
The Company
There is a good atmosphere and the people are always willing to discuss something/have a chat
I have had no problems at all!
I attended most of the training supplied to graduate engineers and similar courses. However I was not able to attend any of the conferences or network
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I have been asked if I would like top return to ARM, even if they could just buy me a degree :-)
The Culture
I was the only student at the time but I went out quite a lot with some colleagues.
Sheffield is relatively cheap, there is a lifestyle to fit any budget.
If you like your music underground Sheffield is great for music/clubbing/warehouse parties. Pubs and bars are great too.
I did a lot of running and climbing with colleagues
