Overview
The role was varied each day as it was a part-time internship. Some weeks I assisted with printmaking and had the opportunity to create my own work. I carried out stock takes, research on artists to add to artist biographies on the website, as well as starting to catalogue the archive of prints on site.
Skills
I have developed my existing research and communication skills, as well as gained more valuable experience in the field that I wish to work in.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was working independently quite often but also was made to feel very comfortable if I needed to ask questions/needed further clarification on tasks.
Support & Guidance
Everyone at Peacock and the Worm was incredibly supportive and welcoming during my internship. I had the opportunity to speak to most members of staff and all were happy to chat about their experience in the arts sector, as well as taking an interest in supporting me in the early stages of my career.
Culture
It was a busy environment but very comfortable and inviting.
Your Impressions
I really loved it. Each day was different and presented me with new experiences, the people I worked with were lovely and it was a great experience.
