Overview
I helped my principal with tasks relating to restructuring and insolvency, sat in on calls and meetings. I attended sessions about practice group and gained an understanding of the strategy and various practice areas of the firm. We were encouraged to network and discovered the friendly, welcoming culture of the firm.
Skills
Time management was the greatest skill I developed. It was very difficult juggling the work from our principal, the assessed tasks, networking coffees, social events, practice area sessions. It took me a while to find a rhythm.
Business Insight
Very interesting, and a little overwhelming realising how many options there were. Everyone sold their areas very well, but also did not shy away about the realities about the role.
Culture
Very positive. Everyone was very friendly. I never got turned down for a coffee chat. I always felt I could ask anything.
Your Impressions
Lots. I greatly enjoyed the insight.
