Overview
- Run specialist energy modelling software. - Help other teams with modelling requests. - Help team with large scale projects like tCSNP2r
Skills
- Learnt new software like Plexos. -Developed existing skills like communication, Excel, managing large projects.
Responsibilities
Not initially because of the large skill and knowledge gap but after 5-6 months I was given projects to work on and lead.
Support & Guidance
Incredible support from manager and HR. They understand the steep learning curve in this industry and role and are more than happy to help whenever required.
Culture
10/10. Friendly, Supportive and a place you can be yourself. Everyone is happy to connect for a chat and help you!
Your Impressions
It was initially a bit difficult because of the large knowledge gap but you get the hang of it if you are curious and ask questions. I'd say I am now enjoying the placement.

Be yourself at Interview and read about the publications at NESO website to sound more confident. If you dont know answer to questions, just say so. Teamwork is big at NESO so be inclusive during group interview.
