Overview
I work with a range of teams across marketing channels and locales to deliver and execute campaigns for Myprotein. This involves creating assets for social channels and site banners and researching and reviewing competitors to get a full understanding of the market. I relay my research findings across the division to the relevant teams, sparking ideas based off those learnings, keeping the company up-to-date with the trends within the market.
Skills
We're given opportunities to develop a full range of skills required for corporate roles. These come through the normal day-to-day work within our teams, and the additional opportunities available within the business and from the Early Careers team. This includes: - Presenting: We have presented to internal and external audiences in casual breakout meetings and more formal auditorium presentations Project Management: We're given real responsibility from the get-go and projects and tasks are solely down to us to manage Teamwork: There is a large range of teams that all work together, and lots of cross-team collaboration
Responsibilities
Yes, total responsibility from the start. There are expectations set straight away and we are in charge of our time and how to manage it. This all comes with a large amount of support with weekly 1-on-1s with managers and team meetings.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support from my team and managers with very regular catch-ups and 1-on-1s, but also from the wider Early Careers team, who host sessions to develop learnings and are always available for extra support.
Culture
It's an environment where everyone really comes together and works as a team. There is a lot of responsibility on a lot of people's shoulders and sometimes the work can be stressful, however there is a lot of support and recognition for the hard work people do.
Your Impressions
Really enjoyed the placement, had so many opportunities to grow and learn and felt really settled in the role.
Yes
There is a big application process with tasks to complete, these are opportunities to show your skills, creativity and dedication. It's really worth spending time on the application and doing research as this is your chance to show what you have to offer. For things such as presentations, making information digestible and visually appealing enhances your work. Be as creative as you can - you want to stand out! This is a highly sought after placement, make sure they know why you're the best choice.
