Overview
This insight was designed for us to learn more about audit and tax. We spent time working on a case study, and were equipped with skills and insight sessions to aid us with the day 2 task of presenting solutions to our case study to senior Deloitte professionals.
Skills
Definitely presentation skills, especially in such a short space of time to prepare and understand what exactly was going on with my minimal experience. Skills such as learning quickly on the job and taking initiative were definitely developed.
Business Insight
It was great for someone like myself who’s thinking about their future and what they can do now to prepare. It also took away that mystery with what exactly certain business functions in audit and tax.
Culture
I really liked the company culture. Everyone seems so lovely and friendly, it was a non-judgemental atmosphere and they genuinely just wanted to make us feel comfortable with asking questions and any concerns. I also liked the music they played during breaks, perhaps helped to ‘humanise’ this Big 4 firm.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the insight quite a lot. I learnt at a good pace and was pushed out of my comfort zone a bit.
