  • Looking through local and national plans to see how different sites can be developed. Using different information sources to see any restrictions sites may face and any impacts they may have on an area. Tracking planning applications in order to better judge how successful future applications will be. Writing reports using the information collected.

  • Skills I have developed include critical thinking in order to be able to observe issues with sites and see how they will impact a sites development in the future. I have learnt about how to take responsibility for tasks and meet deadlines.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was really insightful to learn about the different roles in the company and how the all interact with each. Being involved with such as large company and very complex planning applications meant different departments had to communicate with each other and share knowledge on how best to deal with different projects.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company had great atmosphere and a very relaxed office where you could easily approach people and talk about different aspects of a project or assignment. The culture was focused on what was best for the employees and how there could learn and develop not only to benefit the company but also themselves

  • I enjoyed the insight very much. It felt as if I was actually inputting meaningful work rather than being on a burden on other employees there was great opportunity to talk and meet people and develop a network.
