The Role
The work was never boring or repetitive and I was constantly challenged and learning new things.
The team I worked in developed a strong bond and we all got on really well.
My manager was very supportive and helpful and always gave praise where it was due. She was approachable and understanding when I had questions or needed help.
There was always more than enough work to fill my day, which made the time go by quickly.
There was a great deal of autonomy in decision making given and a broad range of tasks were under my remit.
I have developed greater organisation skills, time management, a methodical approach, communication skills and most importantly greater self-confidence.
The Company
The abundance of other placement students at the company and the friendly attitude of the full time staff gave the small company a great social environment.
Accommodation was provided for by the company and the job training was well thought out.
My manager was always keen to push me and encouraged me to take on new tasks to gain as much experience as possible in my year.

Company Parties/Events
The company is always keen to take back students who have excelled during their placement.
The Culture
The placement students regularly arranged social events and the company held a office Christmas Party and Summer Boat Party on the Thames.
Accommodation was paid for by the company, as was travel to and from work. Food, drink and other socialising costs were good for a town on the outskirts of London.
Maidenhead had a few venues, but Windsor and Reading were close by, both offering a plethora of clubs and bars.
There was a busy social scene. The company also held five-a-side football practice once a week and even took part in a tournament against other companies in the industry.
