The Role
The actual job was just ok, however it was made up for by the great people, the skills I learnt which have proved invaluable since.
I feel my direct manager and mentor valued my contribution, perhaps the wider team didn't so much.
Very good management!
Sometimes there were days when I wasn't that busy, others when I was really busy, guess thats the same in all jobs.
At the time it felt reasonable, now looking back I would have liked to have been pushed and given a little more responsibility.
definately an area focused on by my Manager and Mentor at IBM.
The Company
As IBM take on so many students they had to be organised.
funds were always lacking for extra courses however my direct manager and mentor did try their best to develop my skills in other ways.
Flexi Time
Working from home
Whilst I had a great placement there I now want to try a different industry, however I would never rule out going back to IBM at some stage in my career.
The Culture
I made lots of really great friends which I hope will stay friends for life.
Living in London is always going to be expensive, the salary mostly covered it though and we had a great social life.
Absolutely brilliant, a real social place from 5.30 onwards.
Not so much for girls, the boys could get involved with football.
