The Role
I always felt that my work and participation were valued.
The perfect balance was struck between support and guidance and making sure that your overall experience was down to your own initiative. Support and guidance was there, but it was left up to you act on that guidance and take an interest.
I worked hard and was exposed to lots of varied work. Again, you were left to your own devices and could leave the office when you decided you had worked enough.
Every day provided the chance to get involved in interesting and varied tasks. Before I started work upon a task , however small, the background of the whole project was explained to me. I always knew where my work fitted in to the overall context of a project. Moreover, although the tasks I was doing were not perhaps the most high profile pieces of work , I was not given tasks for the sake of it and everything I worked on was actually used by my colleagues. My work was not only used but was genuinely appreciated, and colleagues did not hesitate to tell me afterwards how helpful my work was to them.
The Company
It is a very proffessional yet friendly environment.
Activities were planned daily, but these were positive activities which added to the experience and weren't set up for the sake of a busy looking schedule.
You really felt that the firm was taking the time to get to know you.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
This placement has confirmed to me 100 percent I want to work at this firm
The Culture
The atmosphere is ambitious yet not competetive and everyone gets on really well
I worked in London where the rent was particularly expensive
Buzzing!
There were sports club available and every effort was made to make you feel that you wore more than welcome to attend out of the office activities.
