The Role
Lots of responsibility from day 1 given plenty of various tasks to do.
Working in a remote team over the year I met my Manager aroun5 times and task Manager once. However despite this I still felt a valued part of the team.
Guidance from my task manager was excellant, always available and happy to help at all times, despite only meeting once face to face. No question being a stupid one.
Job role fluctuated throughout the year. Some days being busy however others not so much. The good thing about IBM is it is always easy to fill the gaps of little work. Either shadowing, giveback or online education courses.
I managed some of my own projects, giving education to various members of the team. Also key part of other tasks.
IBM has enabled me to adapt and improve on my skills and I will certainly be taking this back to university with me.
The Company
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I will certainly apply back as a graduate.
The Culture
The best part of IBM was the number of other placements at my location. This created a very social environment.
Not too expensive despite living in the south.
Good nightlife lots of various places to go. Some times can depend on the company
Giveback, volunteering, networking groups, various clubs to join
