The Role
Overall I enjoyed my placement.
I felt like a valued member of the team within the office I was working in.
My mentor provided support and guidance throughout.
I was given a project to work on over the course of the week that kept me occupied during times that I did not have any other work, however at some points I would be working on my presentation for quite a while before being given another task.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility.
I found the placement very useful.
The Company
Friendly but professional.
The organisation and structure could be improved, however this could be difficult as the placement is only a week long.
Overall I developed an encouraging impression of the firm.
The Culture
The vacation placement students were taken out for a meal with some of the Trainees and Solicitors, some were also invited to play in a football tournament.
Travelling to and from the firm was quite costly as there is a lack of good transport links to the business park.
I did not get to experience any of the nightlife during my placement, however I am aware that the local nightlife is quite good.
There was the opportunity for some Vacation Scheme students to partake in playing football after work,
