The Role
The placement was a fantastic experience which has allowed to grow as an engineer and as a person.
I was given a very high level of responsibilty and my work was held in the same regard as that of qualified engineers.
Bi-weekly reviews were performed in order to monitor my performance and set objectives to be met.
The was a large work load but with good time management it wasnt an issue.
I was given the oportunity to lead a project from start to finish, this included design work, technical drawing, procurement and introduction.
An invaluable experience
The Company
A profesional and friendly atmostphere
very well organised, as previosuly mentioned my work load was constantly monitored through reviews.
I was involved in a large amount of training and development, I was also able to go on numerous visits as an ambassador for Cummins.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
The offer of a job is dependant on the financial climate at the time of graduation, however it has been expressed that if all goes well I would be offered a position upon graduation.
The Culture
Yes most of the students played some form of sport as part of a work social club so we got to no each other this way.
Pretty average, all social clubs with work were very cheap.
Daventry is a small town so just pubs and a small club, however it is within a reasonably close distance to Coventry, Northampton and Lemington.
Many clubs were available and the opportunity to join was presented during our first week of employment.
