The Role
Good amount of work which remained diverse and, at times, intellectually challenging.
Numerous remarks made indicated that my help was appreciated, tand hat I had saved colleagues from working in the weekend.
Excellent induction day gave me access to a sizeable support structure
Obviously the nature and complexity of the work, as well as the amount being received, constantly changed and thus so did my workday.
I was given responsibility suitable for my experience and education.
Drafting, writing, research, logistical and interviewing skills were all acquired through my personal work or from observing others.
The Company
RPC's open plan offices lends itself to a friendly atmosphere in which it is easy to have a few words or passing chat with colleagues.
They kept exactly to the plan arranged at the start of the placement.
There were skills sessions and departmental talks that I attended, for which time-precious associates took time to do.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
While our socialising was arranged as part of our placement, it was clear that the trainees at RPC frequently socialise together.
London is an expensive place to live, the more so the close to the City you go.
I only saw parts of it, but the surrounding area is vibrant at night.
The placement did not last long enough to be engaged in such activities.
