The Role
The placement was very well organised, the quality of work was excellent and the people were really friendly.
My colleagues gave me genuine work rather than work to keep me occupied which made me feel valued.
I felt like I could ask my supervisor anything.
I was always really busy which was a good thing. I either had ongoing/urgent work to do all the time.
The nature of the work in my department meant it was difficult to have the full responsibility of sending emails and calling clients- trainees don't even get this responsibility as everything has to be checked and double checked. But I did meet and talk to clients at meetings and took important notes at conference calls and meetings, wrote up file notes, so I had the same responsibility as trainees, which was great!
They will certainly help my work as a trainee wherever I end up.
The Company
Friendly, genuinely open door policy.
Extremely well organised by HR who did a fantastic job with every aspect of the scheme, including all the briefings/activities after work.
Training was excellent but waiting to hear about the training contract.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Really liked the firm, hoping to hear back about a TC from them soon.
The Culture
Really good social scene went out a lot with each other after work.
Expensive but this is to be expected in Central London.
Good variety of bars and clubs.
We were always invited along to any firm events in the evenings. There was no opportunity to get involved in sports while on the placement, though I believe there is a chance when you're at the firm.
