The Role
Enjoyed it very much, I was given actual work to do right from the beginning, and everyone was very nice and happy to help
i felt very valued, My opinions were always considered and respected
The first thing my manger said to me was a if i have any problems let her know, as well as this we also have bi weekly one to one meetings so she can keep up to date with my progress
It can vary, if there are important projects on you may be very busy other times you may have less pressing work to get on with, but you are never bored and there is always work if you want it.
Especially towards the end of my internship, I feel I was given a lot of very important work to do, and was taking responsibility for my own work.
There was plenty of opportunity to develop skills and train outside for your day to day job. including presentations from high up members of staff and readily available training resources for CCNA training
The Company
Often quite, but never dull
As this year was the first intake of intern there was some room for improvement, but Cisco have been very keen to get our feedback in order to iron any issues of for the next batch, and i have every confidence they will do this
everyone would take time out to help the interns by give a presentation or training workshops, or just helping with any day to day problems
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I am very hopful
The Culture
iIt was difficult as most of the interns lived quite far from work
not bad but not uni cheep
there are very regular work organised social events
