The Role
A challenging job with a great working environment and community.
From day 1 I was a brand new member of the Ash Gaming family!
Shown the ropes at a pace that was comfortable to me and then given direction and support in a hands off approach that was ideal for me.
There was always work that needed to be done, but there were noticeable busier and quieter times.
I started off just helping out, but by the end of the placement I was a key member of the team coordinating and conducting important internal testing.
My time at Ash Gaming has been an invaluable experience that has taught me above and beyond what I was expecting out of a placement.
The Company
Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Pool and football at lunch and poker nights after work meant there was nearly always something going on.
Being the first student to fill this new role meant that there were aspects that were not as well defined as they could be. But this also meant there were many opportunities to develop myself and the role that might not be present in an existing role.
I was given in house training as required, and the company also sent me to various events and trade shows to help me develop a better understanding of the line of work.

The company employs many of its promising placement students after they graduate within roles that they worked in.
The Culture
All the current placement students get along great and I chat to most of them frequently outside of work.
The prices were not unreasonable, but I wouldn't describe the area as cheap.
As you would expect the somewhere located in the heart of London to be, busy and exciting!
Football, poker nights and running club to name a few! Many of the staff play online games together outside of work.
