The Role
Excellent experience of working within a large worldwide company. Friendly staff and some challenging work
I felt I was respected by my colleagues and that they appreciated my input
I was given support during my placement but feel I could have had a little more at certain times
Day to day work varied a lot. Some days were very busy.
I feel I had a lot of responsibility during my placement but could have dealt with more.
I have developed some very good skills whilst working on placement. In addition to IT skills I have learnt a lot about the professional work place.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was very friendly but still remained professional
The whole process from application and throughout was very well organized with the correct training given when appropriate.
I wasn't given very much personal development or IT training. However I have had Cummins and 6Sigma training.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I haven't been offered anything after completing my placement but will consider applying for jobs in the future.
The Culture
There was a good social scene, especially with work colleagues
The rent in the local area was reasonably priced and the cost of social activities is probably around average.
The nightlife is poor within the local town. I would consider living further away from the company for a better social scene.
There were a few out of work activities and the opportunity to do a days work for the local community
