The Role
I enjoyed working within the Company and with colleagues but feel the work could have been a little more challenging.
My colleagues respected my role and made me feel like part of the team.
I was given some support by my manager but due to their job involving a lot of travel they are not always available to contact
My job differs greatly, some days I am very busy but other very quiet.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility in being the only IT worker within the department
The skills I have gained will be very useful both for studies and future life. Especially professional skills such as communication.
The Company
The office had a very friendly atmosphere but still maintained a professional work place
From the application process to starting work was a relatively seamless process.
I wasn't given much training that was especially relevant to my job role. However I did receive basic company training and 6Sigma training.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I haven't been offered anything for the future but would consider applying for the correct job
The Culture
There was a good social side both with colleagues and fellow placement students
Reasonable rent prices and probably average costs for social activities
Very poor nightlife in the town. One small club and a couple of pubs
One company party at Christmas and a day of working in the community
