The Role
I loved it!
Everyone in RR is very friendly and accomodating.
Very well structured for guidance
You can be as busy as you choose to be - you have tasks that have to be done but I found that I completed mine quickly and asked for more to keep myself busy.
It is a proper working environment and although you are given a lot of guidance, you are responsible for your own work.
My degree is directly related to my placement so the skills are transferable!
The Company
Generally a laid back but hard working atmosphere. Obviously people are under extra pressure at certain times.
Very well organised and structured - upu have both a line m,anager and an HR person as a 'go to' if you need halp with anuthing. Also anyone in my office was willing to help!
They have a atructure where you set your own goals which you try and achieve by the end of the placement - you then review with your manager afterwards.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
I would love to get back into the company when I graduate.
The Culture
Where I was placed there werent as many students so the social aspect wasn't as good as other sites but we did socialise outside of work and when we had training days we travelled together etc
Living was fairly cheap! it is easy to find rooms to let or even rent out a place for the 2 months if you ring estate agents.
not much in the town itself but I was close to Leeds and Manchester which both have good nightlife!
not really - again some of the other sites have more to offer.
