The Role
Would have been full marks but I spent some time in a department with a little less to do. Otherwise the other department I spent time in was super busy. Had lots of challenging and interesting work to do with some really important clients. Also got to write an article for the ILO. HR were really helpful and the whole firm gave off a fantastic impression.
Everyone I did work for appreciated the effort and took time to offer advice and praise.
Mixture of who provided the support but there was always someone there.
First seat I was really busy but it was really interesting work. Second seat I was less busy but it was good to experience both as I am sure every seat is different.
As much as I could have wanted. Obviously no summer student was closing a huge deal but we were encouraged to go out and have a go at interesting tasks.
Research methods will be useful as I undertake a GDL next year. The business project was really interesting and helped hone commercial skills.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and happy to work at RPC. Really enjoyable experience.
HR did an excellent job. Assisted with queries regarding the business project, always on time and planned well in advance.
The firm have provided us with all the tools necessary to get a training contract. The intake is small so cannot really say whether they have invested in me until I find out about a training contract.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing regardless of receiving an offer or not. Great place to be.
The Culture
Good relationships were built and some funny socials!
Subsidised placement so barely cost anything on that score. Went for drinks with a friend from uni nearby and wasn't more expensive than anywhere else in London.
Had a great time on all the socials. Nice area.
All of the socials arranged were good and I know one of the girls was invited to play netball. Most of the activities were straight from work or during lunchtime.
