The Role
It was great to take on so much more responsibility than other entry-level people in my field.
I am now good friends with my line manager.
I learned many new skills from my management, as well as valuable career advice.
This varied depending on project timelines. Often I would be very busy, working on multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes there would be virtually nothing for the department to do.
Being able to take on as much responsibility as I was capable of has really boosted my CV.
Having this placement on my CV has been an asset while looking for more work.
The Company
My department were friendly, welcoming and fun.
My team were very well organised, but I feel that HR didn't have complete control, especially during the initial stages of employment.
I was able to go on a fantastic technical course, a television festival and a technical expo.
International Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There is currently a head count freeze, so virtually no chance of employment. However, my contacts within the company may be of use to me in the future.
The Culture
I didn't socialise with other interns much, but went out with my department/team often.
Chiswick is a very expensive area.
There is a bar in the business park, and plenty of pubs nearby.
There is a volunteering scheme, but activities were infrequent.
