The Role
The placement year was a fantastic experience and gave great insight into the working world. I feel by completing this placement my career prospects will have increased.
All colleagues made me feel welcome and a valued member of the team, our opinions mattered.
The support and guidance given by my supervisor was beyond anything I was expecting, I have learnt so muhc from my supervisor and the year wouldn't have been anywhere as near as fulfilling as it has turned out to be without his help.
I was very busy on a daily basis, if I felt I wasn't busy enough I would always ask for more work and it was always given to me!
I was given a fair amount of responsibility during my placement, which resulted in me setting and meeting my own deadlines. However, I feel like on some occasions I was just doing as I was told without having too much decision in what work I was doing. However, all the work I did was my own responsibility.
I think the training recieved during my placement year will definitely help me alot in my final year of University, and the presenting skills I have gained will help in any future career.
The Company
Very friendly, with alot of pub lunches and out of work activities.
All the placement work was very well organised, the payment side of things (from an external company) was not so well organised.
I was given lots of opportunities to take part in training courses and was constantly asked by my supervisor what other training and development I wanted to undertake during my year and he would try his best to see that I could fulfil those opportunities.

Despite having a fantastic year here, I don't feel like there are any future jobs with the company in the current climate and have been given this impression by all of the people I have worked with this year.
The Culture
Great social scene, with 100 students on placement there was always stuff going on. The year wouldn't have been half as good if the social life with other student wasn't so good!
Pretty expensive living and socialising costs, but to be expected when the placement is so close to London.
Not great, but has some good pubs, just not many clubs. However, London was close by so the best nights out were in London
Didn't really have much opportunity to do much else outside of work due to having University work to complete at the same time.
