The Role
I
I've been given a lot of responsibility, so feel very valued.
I didn't have a very long handover period with the previous intern, but my line manager has been only too happy to help, both when I first started and throughout the year.
Due to the nature of the department, this varied from day to day. I was never bored, or twiddling my thumbs, but some days were quieter than others.
I was gien a lot of responsibility, which was a great learning experience.
These assisted beyond my degree course, as I know have a competant understanding of working in the media, and the productin process as a whole.
The Company
The managers ensured that even on stressfull days, the atmosphere was positive. We socialised outside of the office, and so became friends. This made the working day much more enjoyable.
I have no complaints about this at all. Everything ran smoothly, and as expected.
They took a lot of time out of their daily schedules to explain thins to me that were above my position. i was eager to learn, and they obliged.

Working from home
I have been extended for a month over the summer, which I'm very happy about. Unfortunately the head count means that they can't employ me fully at the time being, but I would love to go back if the opportunity arose.
The Culture
There were a few socials organised, although on a day to day basis I didn't feel like I could join in. Most of the interns went to lunch together, but I didn't always take a full lunch break, as many other members of my team didn't.
Living and working in London is very expensive. My income was almost exactly equal to my outgoings and so socialising, unfortunately, didn't happen very often!
Wghen you can afford to go out - it's great!
There were a lot of opportunites - especially sporting ones, like Netball and Football.
