The Role
I really enjoyed the internship but felt sometimes as though I was just 'tagging along' with someone.
My colleagues were very friendly and welcoming but I did not always have a huge amount of work to do.
I was given a good amount of help with the work I was doing
On a couple of days I felt I didn't really have anything to do, however most days I had a good balance of work and could work at my own task
I worked on some important documents.
I gained good experience of an office environment and found out a lot about the area I did my internship in.
The Company
The KPMG office was lovely, however on some of the client visits I found the office a bit dull.
As it was the first year they have run the Easter internship I think some improvements need to be made but it was a really enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
Had a whole day of 'induction' which gave us a really good insight into different areas of the company, what it is like to work for KPMG and gave us the chance to speak to loads of employees etc.
Subsidised Canteen
Healthcare/Dental
I go straight to the assessment centre stage of any further placement/job I apply to with KPMG
The Culture
Everyone was really friendly and people went for drinks after work.
London is quite expensive, especially Canary Wharf but the pay makes up for it.
London has really good nightlife
I was not there for long enough to reallly do anything but there seemed to be lots of opportunities to be had for employees.
