The Role
It is a struggle initially because Resource Managers need to place you on long term projects even though you're there for a short period of time. But you have amazingly friendly/flexible people and teams that you can go up to and work for. So after getting used to the work culture, there is nothing to stop you from enjoying your time there.
Your work is valued/appreciated within most teams. The only downside is that if you're 'free', they can give you work that you're over qualified for.
My manager had no clue that I was coming. I didn't have support for getting work as they weren't 'responsible' for it. They didn't know much about grad recruitment, partner interviews etc. or anything very regarding answers to my question. But they were friendly and supportive of what I made of my placement.
I found myself work and tried to remain busy throughout the day. But not too busy as people try to send you off by 5pm.
Not much but I guess that's not what its about as we're only there for a short period of time.
Definitely learnt alot of skills including networking ability..
The Company
Lively but hot desking made it less so if you didn't know everyone!
No structure at all, which could be good or bad.
