The Role
It had highs and lows but was ultimately a very enjoyable experience.
The majority of the team definitely valued my input, which was nice.
My manager/supervisor was absolutely fantastic, and would regularly book meetings to give me some tips and see how I was getting on.
Very busy. While the work was often stressful, I guess it's always better to be busy than bored.
I had an asset management internship, meaning I was constantly required to satisfy requests for different members of staff every day..
These are definitely some skills for life. While I may not pursue this particular job in future, it's definitely given me vital work skills in order to do a good job in a different area in later life.
The Company
The majority of the staff were happy, bubbly and not stressed. A good atmos all round.
I had a full years' job which actually benefitted the company, definitely a well organised placement.
They put a lot of faith in me, which was definitely very appreciated.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Very appealing - provided its in an area that I'm definitely interested in pursuing as a full time career.
The Culture
Yep! There were drinks usually twice a week with team/friends/other interns. Occasionally there'd be nights out - very good.
It's reasonable - neither here nor there. The canteen in Chiswick isn't particularly well subsidized though.
Not great - although as it's London it's close to various other places with significantly better night life.
Yep! Plenty, thanks to the Yellow Coat organisation who set themselves up every week in Chiswick business park.
