The Role
Throughly enjoyed it. Excellent all round experience.
Once I was involvd in more projects, i felt more part of the team.
Excellent support from all corners of the departments. Nobody was too busy to spare 5 minutes to explain something.
Towards the begining, as expected not very busy. Being in the project managment team the work load fluctuated buty i always had something to do, it was hectic a lot of the times and sometimes tehre was nothing - but that is part of teh job role.
I was managing 5 projects by the edn of my placment, the same amount as the Senior of my role.
Excellent development oppertunities. Plenty of in house courses and external ones. As well as Expo's, webinnars and training days.
The Company
Very animated, there was a great understanding of knowing when to have some fun and knowing when work had to be done. Neverthless there was always something going on in the office.
At first, it was a bit slow, as i was the first intern in my department there was no hand over etc, but it picked up. I also had oppertunities to spend a week in the other departments which broadended my understanding of the company.
I was sent on a official project managemet course and recieved a certifited qualification. Additionally a MS project course. However due to budgets the rest of the courses were in house or free webinaars. Neverthless Development and training was a very strong subject at Disney.

Working from home
Disney is a huge company and being an intern you get one foot in the door. Even if its not with the current department im working in.
The Culture
Great balance of fellow interns and work colleuges. Social events were excellent!
London prices are always dear, especially with travel and housing. Neverthless there was always an event going on for every budget.
There was a handfull of bars/pubs in the working area, however being on the picidilly line, places like covent garden and soho were 15/20 minutes away.
There are voulenteer oppertunities when there's an event - i.e. a parade. Also a lot of charity events.
