The Role
Overall I found the placement very enjoyable and felt very comfortable around the people.
I'm not really sure.
I would have liked to have a few one to one discussions with my supervisor. I do not feel like I got much guidance which is a shame.
It depended on my work load week to week, but overall I feel the amount of work I was given was just right. I would occasionally work extra hours to get work done, but didn't mind doing so.
The nature of the work meant that I had a lot of responsibility, which I learnt to deal with better as time went on.
I have definitely picked up valuable skills which will no doubt be useful later on. The experience of having worked in such a big company was also very useful.
The Company
Very relaxed.
Incredibly organised, which does not come as a surprise considering the company I work for offer placements every year.
At the start, the company had organised a very useful trip to a university in order to teach us some of the basic skills.
I would really like to work in this organisation, however job prospects are not great at the moment unfortunately.
The Culture
The initial training trip we had allowed us (placement students) to get to know eachother and most students tended to each lunch together as a big group.
I lived at home so there wasn't much change for me.
Average.
New opportunities were constantly being advertised.
