The Role
I have really enjoyed my internship at SAP. It certainly has given me a taste of what is expected from me and what I am able to deliver in the real world of work.
I felt extremely valued and I was told this on a regular basis
I was given a lot of support and guidance throughout the year, particularly through 1-2-1s
I was very busy on a day-to-day basis, but I'd rather be too busy than bored!
From the very start I was given real responsibilities which have consequently enabled me to grow both personally and professionally within a “real working environment”
I have learnt a lot more at SAP in comparison to my two previous years at University in view of the fact that I have been presented with the chance of not just watching, learning and observing but in obtaining a practical hands-on experience which has ultimately enabled me to develop my transferable skills and further skills suited to my degree.
The Company
The office was very friendly and a nice place to work in each day.
The internship was very well structured. Ihad a very good onboarding program within my department when I joined which in turn enabled me to get up to speed quickly.
SAP had a budget for all employees in regards to training and development and this was also available to all the interns within SAP this year.
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
This is uncertain.
The Culture
There was a very good social scene amongst all 18 interns this year. At the end of the placement year SAP allocated a budget of £1,000 in order to show their appreciation of all the hard work the interns had done this year.
Cost of living is quite reasonable. It really depends on the area you choose to live within.
There were not very many events during the night for the department I worked within.
Yes there were other opportunities, such as Corporate Social Responsibility days and other events outside of the office.
