The Role
I enjoyed the work, I was given a good mixture of work which related to my modules at university but perhaps could have been challenged/pushed more.
Some collegues really valued my work, I even got recognition at one point by being awarded emplyee of the month. In terms of skills some collegues did not realise the skills base I had so rarely approached me for help.
My manager was always there to support and guide me through my year. I had weekly meetings to go over the work I had done and what to work on next.
A mix really I loved the days where I was working really hard with a diverse range of work/projects. I felt a strong sense of responsibility and was challanged. Other days I had little work today and struggled to find motivation/
I was left to my own devices a lot of the time. I supported various projects and worked on aspects such as CAD visuals and Photoshop concept work.
I have worked on many projects on my placement. All of which have supported my core modules for university, helping me to develop these skills.
The Company
Really fun and a good team spirit. I felt sometimes (rarely) there was tension between employees but I guess that's normal in any office.
I was impressed by most of the placement. Initially I was put off as I waited about 2 and a 1/2 months to hear back after my first interview. This made me question the company but once I met my team I was won over.
I attended a lot of training sessions towards the start of my placement such as CAD modelling, emotional intelligence and confidence training. These were really valuable and it made you feel valued that the company would invest money into these sessions to develop its emplyees.

Not very. I have other plans now but wouldn't say I've in any way had a really bad experience.
The Culture
I have been to quite a few social events during my placement. It is a great way of socialising with team members who perhaps you don't normally get a chance to work/chat to. It is also really motivational for a team.
I have been based in Hull. This has been a good experience. Great for students and really cheap.
Bit rough in areas. But overall there are some good and various places to go.
A few social clubs set up by employees, gym, social events (birthdays, rewards)
