  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It was a great experience and I met some lovely people.

    • My colleagues were so helpful and kind to me throughout the year. They made the job seem less daunting and supported me with any worries or problems I had.

    • I had a few different supervisors throughout my placement but they gave me plenty to do and lots of feedback to help support and improve my work.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • This ranged throughout the year. In general I was kept busy with all sorts of jobs and towards the end I was kept very busy!

    • I was allowed to organise my days around all my projects and given the responsibility to work to my own deadlines without someone checking up on me.

    • I have definitely grown in confidence and improved my writing skills.

    • Everyone was busy but chatty and helpful.

    • It took a while for me to get trained up and started but after that it all went smoothly.

    • I had the opportunity to attend visits and charity events on behalf of the company.

    • I would definitely consider coming back to work here after university.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • All the students socialised and many lived together so we formed strong bonds with each other.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Our rent was fairly cheap and the local area was not too expensive.

    • The nightlife is good, although sometimes you had to travel to the next town for a night out.

    • There were all sorts of sporting activities and social events going on throughout the year.
