The Role
Highly enjoyable- good mixture of outright work and also more social activities.
Very welcome environment, and very much an open door policy.
Often difficult to receive feedback given that supervisors/other practitioners were busy with alternative pieces of work. But when feedback was received, it was very comprehensive and useful.
Were often times when supervisors and other colleagues within the department found it difficult to suggest assignments on which I could be of assistance.
One piece of work I prepared was actually emailed to a client, which was a rewarding opportunity.
Many transferable skills e.g. communication, organisitation, were developed further and will undoubtedly be useful for study and further work experience.
The Company
Lively, and warm environment. No sense of colleagues being bored or stuck indull situations.
Very well organised- international trip to Paris for a day ran especially smoothly and was therefore very enjoyable.
Not so much formal training, more of a system where chances were given to participate in particular pieces of work and presentations were given about the sorts of training included within a permanent position at the firm.
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Interview and assessment were set up for the opportunity of a more permanent position, but this was my first formal placement with such an organisation therefore making it less likely that I would be successful in obtaining a more permanent position.
The Culture
Yes- got on very well with other students on the scheme and often organised our own social meetings outside of work.
London- therefore quite expensive but the firm were very generous in their treating us many times !
London nightlife the best.
Apart from various organised social events, minimal work-related projects/further opportunities were on offer outside of the work premises themselves. There was invitations to various talks etc..
