The Role
The organisers and current graduates really were enthusiastic and really added to the whole experience.
The whole 4 days was focused on guiding us towards a suitable Internship to apply for next year, it was very helpful
The was a wide range of activities some more intensive than others and I really felt the whole week flew bye.
It was an Insight program so this wasn't really applicable
The program really developed my knowledge of the different schemes available within Barclays and which areas I may have skills in.
The Company
It appeared to have a good balance between social and work life, everyone worked hard but seemed to take opportunities to enjoy themselves as well.
The whole week was well scheduled and at no stage was there any confusion in what we were doing or where we were going next.
Barclays spent a lot of time in informing us of the skills we would need to excel there and how to improve those skills.
They have Invited me back for an assessment centre, so hopefully there could be more internships from them in the future.
The Culture
There was some socialising after hours with fellow students which was a nice experience.
Barclays is based in Canary Wharf so not cheap, however Barclays covered expenses and provided lunch so the actual cost was negligible.
It was central London so there is a lot going on but I was only there for a short time so didnt get to experience it all.
Program was only 4 days so there was no real work to speak of
