The Role
It was a great opportunity to meet lots of people and make sure that it was something which was so valuable to my career progression
Everyone at ERAC is very friendly and generally the company has mostly young graduates. The managers become more like friends and the people that you meet along the way just want you to succeed
Sometimes everyone is so busy that you need to be pro-active and ask for support or guidance, but once you get into the swing of how the business runs, you start becoming more conifdent.
Working at an Airport branch, we are constantly busy. From checking in cars to renting them and chasing payments, the day at the branch is pretty much non-stop.
Even though I was a placement student, it was more like I was just an aspiring manager because they let me do pretty much everything. From deciding what cars to rent, to chasing outstanding payments, to driving the cars and also running the office.
I think the organisation skills that I have developed further are skills tht are for life. Being at ERAC customer service is main factor and I think this is something which is 100% the best thing I have learnt. Workingin a team is fantastic, it's a good basis of a good job and I think this is a main reason why I would potentially come back to Enterprise
The Company
The atmosphere is usually very fun and friendly, if there was any tension, managers sort it out before it affects peoples' performance.
ERAC do this day in and day out, they have a perfect introduction week to get you used to software, practices and even driving the cars.
They invested a lot in me with a lot of training to make sure that I passed my Management Qualification Interview, which is the next step before you can be promoted to an Assisstant Manager position
Financial Bonus
Healthcare from home
If I was to come back I will be able to apply for Assistant Manager positions and get myself promoted with a commission as I have passed my Management Qualification Interview.
The Culture
There isn't a lot of social things unless you are the top sales person each month whereby you get a paid day off work where the company organise a group activity i.e Going to the Royal Ascot
I lived at home so the cost for living was very little, I only paid for my Car, Petrol and Car Insurance.
Stansted Airport is 35 minutes from london and 10 minutes from Bishop's Stortford, so there were places to go out, but with the hours you work at the airport, there isn't much time to go out
If you were the top sales person in a month then you were taken out
