The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Pinsent Masons. It was very well organised.
I felt extremely well valued by my trainee buddy, and other solicitors in the team. I did not have that much contact with the partners in my team.
The guidance given was enough for you to attempt the task, yet little enough to give me a challenge.
There were times during my placement where I didn't have a lot to do, and other times when I had to work through my lunch to complete the task. Yet, I was sat in Corporate so I think that is to be expected.
I was given a substantial amount of responsibility. Only one task I was given was a training task.
I am now more commercially aware, and I feel that I could tackle unfamilar tasks much more confidently.
The Company
Everyone worked hard, yet there was always lots of chatting and joking going on.
The placement was extremely well organised!!! The whole process was seamless.
We had Practice Presentations on a daily basis.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I will be over the moon if I have the opportunity to train at Pinsent Masons.
The Culture
Yes, there were two social events organised. The other students on the Vacation Scheme met up everyday for lunch.
The cost of living is affordable.
Manchester has a great nightlife.
Yes, events were organised and I was invited on a few after work drinks too.
