The Role
Didn't feel like I was given enough work to do, and wasn't pushed. Became quite tedious having to constantly hassle mentor to pass work down to me.
Only really met my supervisor trainee, and some of the other trainees. No one else in my department was available to meet me. Felt at times like I was a burden on my supervisor, because he had to keep finding work for me to do.
The Graduate Recruitment team were excellent and provided much support throughout the course of the placement - it was the trainee who let it down!
Quite bored - little work given to me, none was particularly time consuming or challenging, felt I could have been pushed more.
Given little responsibility. All tasks given to me where not for real clients.
Training and skills taken from group exercise will serve well in the future, I have also benefited from experiencing the culture of this office environment.
The Company
Office was very quiet and subdued, possibly as a result of the current economic climate.
Placement was very well organized by graduate recruitment, however, time spent in department was a bit hit and miss at times, there was no real structure or pattern to the few tasks I was asked to complete.
The company invested heavily in training and practice presentations for us, from which I benefited tremendously.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Overall, there is potentially for future employment, and I have just completed a training contract interview with the firm.
The Culture
Yes, social evenings/lunches were organized.
Affordable.
Ok!
Social evenings were organized, and there was also a hockey team.
