The Role
The placement offered a great and honest insight into the work of a trainee solicitor.
Everyone in the firm is very welcoming and approachable and always willing to help.
I have had end of placement reviews, but not much feedback throughout the two weeks.
I had a constant stream of work most of the time, and was encouraged to go and ask other people in my department if I ran out.
The work I was given was the work of the trainee solicitors and letters etc. were actually sent out to clients.
The skills will be extremely useful, particularly skills relating to client contact.
The Company
Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and it is obvious that there is a great team atmosphere.
All events/assessments were very well organised and we recieved a timetable for the placement on the first day.
I was taught a lot of new skills by my trainee buddy and supervisor
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Although the vacation scheme is very helpful with regards to obtaining a training contract with the firm, the process is still very competitive.
The Culture
Social evening were organised regularly by the trainees.
All of the social events were paid for by the firm during the placement. Living costs are reasonable.
The area in which the firm is has some excellent upmarket bars and restaurants.
Social evenings were organised by the trainees each week, as well as having office drinks.
