The Role
The placement overall was a really informative and interesting two weeks. It was definitely one of the best ways to really learn about the firm.
Everyone in my department and throughout the firm as a whole took the time to speak to me and ask me how the placement was going. People at all levels of the firm were really easy to approach.
My trainee buddy and supervisor provided constant feedback and work for me to complete.
Some days I was quite busy but on others there was not necessarily very much work for me to complete.
I drafted letters and research which then went out to clients.
As I am non-law the skills will not benefit me very much in my studies but I think the experience was a useful taster for the GDL and LPC.
The Company
Everyone was really chatty and friendly. A fun atmosphere was maintained throughout.
There was an extremely high standard of organisation and the timetable we were given was stuck to.
They allowed me to develop new skills and worked with me to improve them.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The placement just reinforced how much I would want to work for them.
The Culture
The events were a great way to get to know the other placement students and by the end of the two weeks we were getting on really well and enjoying spending time together.
Everything was really decently priced.
Really good. Birmingham has a great nightlife and we were able to participate in this on some of the socials.
We were always asked to participate in various events both sporting and social. There were loads of things to do depending on your interests.
