The Role
Really great experience - The year has flown by and I have learnt some great skills to take back to University!
Really valued - I was treated just like my colleagues and my opinions and views were always listened to.
I had a great Manager that gave me all the support and guidance I needed. She made sure I was involved in all parts of the business and arranged for me to get involved in projects and events.
Hugely buysy - but in a positive way. I was involved in various areas of the business and I had responsibilities in all these places - This made my workload big but was thoroughly enjoyable.
Lots of responsibility - As mentioned previously I has responsibility in various areas of the business with my own deadlines to meet. My advice was sought from colleagues and my opinions were valued and respected.
I have learnt some fantastic skills, things that you could not learn at University. I feel I have grown as a person and I feel ready to take on my last year and get the best degree result possible.
The Company
The atmosphere was always pleasant - There were themed days based on the business targets and birthdays and important events were always recognised.
The placement was well organised, my job role changed throughout the year but this was great as it enabled me to gain skills in all different areas.
My manager arranged for me to visit various offices for training including Chelmsford, London and Ipswich. I also was involved in external events and open days - the time and money invested in me was fantastic!
Financial Bonus
There is the availability of a Graduate Job for the future, however I am looking to join a Graduate Scheme preferrably and unfortunately Hays does not offer this.
The Culture
The annual Christmas party, Half year & End of Year conference/Party - Birthdays and successes were celebrated - A great social scene.
The cost of living in the area wasnt as high as I thought. I lived in a house share which worked reasonably well
Really poor, it was very expensive and not much to offer. However the surrounding cities were great"
There were various actitivies around the city, festivals and charity events.
