The Role
The work was varied and interesting, and I worked with some lovely people.
Everybody I encountered made a special effort to get to know me. I was invited to lunch almost everyday by those I worked with, and I even organised a lunch myself in the second week.
Some of the work I was presented with was to assess how I would deal in that situation, but if I ever needed guidance my training buddy and supervisor were always happy to help.
I was more busy than I was not, but I think that was a result of choosing to partake in a wide variety of activities whilst I was at the firm.
I was given plenty of responsibility. I was asked to prepare forms and draft letters which were the ones ultimately sent off.
The work I undertook and the skills I developed will certainly help me throughout my legal career.
The Company
We received an email from our Training Buddy in advance of the trip, and then given a pack of information on the first day which contained all the essential information. We also attended presentations every morning which were hosted by members of the different practice areas.

Company Parties/Events
Having undertaken vacation schemes elsewhere, my vacation scheme at Pinsent Masons was by far the best and has confirmed I would like to work at the firm.
The Culture
There were social activities with fellow vac schemers and colleagues almost every lunchtime and evening.
London is guaranteed to be more expensive than other UK cities, but I would say it's worth it. London is a great city.
I was involved in activities outside of work almost every night. The firm organised for us to go for a curry, to go bowling, and enjoy a three course lunch with some of the Partners in the final week.
