The Role
Loved it - loved the people, loved the work, loved the experience!
Everyone in the office is so friendly and easy to talk to - and its so easy to ask a question which is great because there are always plenty to ask!
Always there when I needed them - everyone is so so approachable!
some days I had 6 jobs to do at once other days I had a lot less to do but it comes in waves. everything you do gets checked twice so there is no chance any of my many errors will go through to the clients
Again it was different everyday. Some days I had more boring routine jobs or data entry but other times I was valuing a clients pension, creating formulae in excel or creating presentations.
Learnt so much already - if I come back next year literally all of it would be so useful, also have a general outline of the pension/benefits sector in general which is great to have. for example I know that when I can retire I can have 25% of my pension straight away - tax free! that's useful to know whatever job your in!
The Company
I was expecting actuaries to be quite boring - know I realise there the opposite!
very well organised - especially at my office in birmingham, we were just chucked into the deep end on day one which is definately the best way to learn! no-one wants months of traiing
always willing and available to help, always!
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
I hope to get a job with them next year!!
The Culture
Great - we played football and poker and went out for drinks - if you want to do something, you can organise it!
already went to uni in brum so living and socialising is super cheap
brill!
Always something you can do within T.W
